In just a few easy steps, a pair of waterproof emergency mittens can be pulled out of the large volume pocket on the front of the jacket. They can be quickly connected to the sleeve cuffs by means of a clip.

The urban Comyou rain jacket is not only functional, but also contributes to solving the waste problem at the same time. Worn-out car tires are difficult to recycle and have so far mostly been incinerated or dumped in mountains. Yet they can be recycled and serve as an environmentally friendly crude oil alternative. For example, the main material of this rain jacket, polyamide, was made from recycled pyrolysis oil, saving up to 60% CO2.

VAUDE is the first outdoor company ever to use a certified mass-balancing process in which oil recycled from used tires is fed into polyamide production. The recycled polyamide yarn is just as elastic, quick-drying and high-performance as a conventional polyamide obtained from crude oil - but far more environmentally friendly in comparison! It's a technology that's moving toward a circular economy. In addition, the urban Comyou rain jacket has the VAUDE Green Shape label and outdoor enthusiasts can be sure to wear an environmentally friendly product made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials.
